Good sexual and reproductive health is a state of complete physical,
mental and social well-being in all aspects of the reproductive system. In this
state, people are able to enjoy a satisfying and safe sex life and have the
capacity to procreate and to decide whether, when and how to do so.
Maintaining one's own sexual and reproductive health requires access to
accurate information and to the safe, effective, affordable and acceptable
method of contraception of choice. All people must be informed and empowered to
protect themselves from sexually transmitted infections. When they decide to
have children, women must also be able to access services that can help them
make the most of their pregnancy, give birth safely and deliver a healthy baby.
In collaboration with a wide range of local and international partners,
World Future Active works towards the goal of universal access to sexual and
reproductive health and rights, including planning.
