Workshop on fund-raising strategies and financing opportunities : World Future Active

A crucial meeting was held on Thursday 1 February 2024, at which the World Future Active staff team met to discuss fundraising strategies and funding opportunities.

The main objective was to reflect on the diversification of funding sources and strategies to ensure the long-term sustainability of the organisation's projects.

The meeting was an important step towards achieving World Future Active's ambitious goals for 2024 and beyond.

In the presentation led by consultant Rénovant HAVYARIMNA, participants were reinforced on the prerequisites for effective fundraising.

The consultant focused on key concepts such as fundraising and fundraising strategy. He also clarified the responsibilities of each member of the organisation with regard to fundraising.

This information enabled the technical team to better understand the fundamentals of fundraising and to be prepared to act strategically.

As a result of the presentation, the technical team was able to formulate an annual action plan for fundraising and explored opportunities for collaboration to enhance potential funding opportunities.

A new tactic of seeking strategic partnerships has also been undertaken.

The implementation of this action plan marks an important step towards achieving the organisation's objectives.

Consultant Rénovant HAVYARIMNA proposed key recommendations to improve fundraising. These recommendations are :

- develop a clear and targeted communication strategy to raise awareness of World Future Active's initiatives among potential partners.

- explore international funding opportunities by seeking donors and establishing partnerships with other organisations.

The participants in the meeting also made their own contributions.

J.B. Simbo, who is in charge of human rights at World Future Active, stressed the importance of maintaining a dedicated fundraising team to coordinate fundraising efforts effectively.

And according to Elvis, funding opportunities must be explored with governmental and non-governmental organisations that share World Future Active's objectives;

Establish partnerships with local companies to set up collaborative programmes focused on supporting the organisation's projects on the one hand and the corporate social responsibility of the partner company on the other.

The strategic meeting of World Future Active's technical staff has enabled solid strategies to be drawn up in addition to the establishment of a dedicated fund-raising team that will guarantee a sustainable future for the organisation's projects.
