WORLD FUTURE ACTIVE, YOUTH Impact Mission BURUNDI-Yim Bdi in collaboration with organisations with ICPD commitments validated an operational action plan 2024 as the Burundi ICPD Taskforce of Burundi CSOs with ICPD commitments25.
The event was attended by various personalities representing different ministries and international organisations, including: the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Development Cooperation, the PNSR, UNFPA, ONUFEMME, etc......
The activity was organised by WORLD FUTURE ACTIVE in collaboration with YIM and SOSADA, ABUBEF(Maj), RNJ+.
The general objective of this workshop activity was to validate an operational action plan for the implementation of the 2024 commitments and pledges as a Taskforce of CSOs committed to the ICPD25.
This activity was specifically aimed at :
- Validate the action plan of the CSO Taskforce that made commitments at the Nairobi ICPD Summit;
- Enable reflection and exchange on the adoption of a new vision
to support and accelerate the follow-up and implementation of the commitments made at the International Conference on Population and Development in Nairobi (ICPD25).
The discussions and speeches provided opportunities to plan and discuss the adoption of a new vision and robust monitoring mechanisms that will make it possible to measure the effectiveness of the actions and interventions to be undertaken to implement the promises and commitments made by 2030.
