On the 31st,
the beneficiaries of the PISCCA project run by World Future Active were
starting to sow maize in the 2.5-hectare farm field provided by the CMDI
cooperative.

This
activity is part of the implementation of activities under the "Innovative
project to improve agricultural production by recovering waste through
vermicomposting", financed by the French Embassy in Burundi through its
Programme for the Social and Economic Empowerment of Women and Young People.
The
semi-cultivation was carried out under the supervision of the World Future
Active team and its agricultural monitors, with a view to making the most of
the growing season with PAN 53 selected maize seeds.
The
beneficiaries had the opportunity to share their impressions of the sowing
activity in particular and their expectations for the project as a whole,
expressing their satisfaction with World Future Active's supervision of field
preparation, sowing by row and the guidance provided on the use of modern,
selected seeds, which are beneficial to them as new agricultural practices.
